Sweet Little Ezra

Babies make my days. Really.

Little Ezra came in early September and I really enjoyed working with him and his mom and little brother for the 4 hours we had together. He was an absolute dream, and slept, well, like a baby!

I started with the bean bag to get some timeless, simple photos. I think these are the type of images that withstand time and are ones that can be enjoyed for years to come even a styles in photography change.

Because his little brother was at the session we decided to get some photos of the boys together. Laying down on the floor is a very safe way to get the interaction between siblings, especially when the older sibling is not old enough to be trusted with holding a newborn.

I also got some photos on a white floor drop. I love white, light photos because I feel like they reflect on the purity of newborns and the light they bring to a family when they are born. Babies are pure JOY!

When I do a long, or premium session I like to give some variety in the look of the gallery. I like things to flow but I also like to keep things interesting. Because Ezra’s mom said she liked neutrals and organic colors we decided to go with this additional look and snuck some more photos in with his brother Micah.

I really think that mom’s need to get in photos with their babies, these are moments that pass so quickly and children want these images when they get older. I do not have any pictures of myself and my mom as a baby and I’m heartbroken that I cannot show these photos to my own kids. I know that sometimes we can be hard on ourselves when are babies are born but motherhood is beautiful! Really!
